Umeda Sky Building

Two 40-storey towers connected at the top by a ring-shaped bridge, the Umeda Sky Building houses the Kuchu Teien ('Floating Garden') Observatory, an open-air deck 173 metres above the Kita district of Osaka. Glass escalators cross an atrium between the towers on the way up, and the 360-degree deck looks out over the Yodo River, Osaka Bay and, on clear days, as far as the mountains ringing the city. The night view from here is ranked among Japan's top 100 nightscapes.
