About
Laem Promthep, the southernmost tip of Phuket island, sits a short drive past Nai Harn Beach on the way to Rawai. A short walk from the car park leads up to an open headland with an unobstructed westward view over the Andaman Sea, which is why it's considered the island's best sunset spot and fills with visitors 60 to 90 minutes before sundown. Below the cape, a lighthouse and small viewpoints look down over the rocky coastline and nearby Kata Noi and Nai Harn beaches. Entry is free and the viewpoint is open around the clock.
