Pasar Kebon Roek

Pasar Kebon Roek is the main traditional market of Ampenan, Mataram's old Dutch-era harbour district on Lombok's west coast, and locals call it the island's largest. Vendors set up daily along Jalan Adi Sucipto selling fresh fish, meat, tropical fruit, vegetables, Lombok coffee and tobacco, with the best seafood and produce available early in the morning. The market turns into a street-food stop by late afternoon, when stalls around it serve grilled dishes and snacks such as tusuk gigi to workers and shoppers passing through.
