About

Tucked into Agia Moni square near the Panagia Paraportiani church in Mykonos Town, Niko's Taverna has served Cycladic home cooking since 1967, when Nikolas Dahtilidis and his wife Katerina opened it. Now run by the third generation of the family, it's known for grilled fish, moussaka and lamb kleftiko made with vegetables and meat from the family's own farm. Simple tables spill onto the square, and the menu has stayed close to traditional Greek taverna cooking rather than following Mykonos's shift toward glitzy beach-club dining.
