Naka Weekend Market

Naka Weekend Market grew out of a car-boot sale known locally as Talad Tai Rot ('back-of-the-truck market'), where islanders once sold secondhand goods and pirated DVDs from parked vehicles. As streaming replaced disc sales between 2012 and 2015, stalls shifted toward food, clothing and souvenirs, and the market was renamed after the nearby Wat Nakaram temple. Open Saturday and Sunday evenings on Wirat Hong Yok Road in Phuket Town, it is now one of the island's biggest night markets, with long rows of vendors grilling satay, frying pad thai and blending fresh juices.
