About

East of Nice's harbour, Mont Boron is a 191-metre hill overlooking the Baie des Anges, crowned by Fort du Mont Alban, a 16th-century fortress built to defend the coast. A network of paths, some unmarked, climbs through Mediterranean pine forest to viewpoints that take in the port of Nice, the colourful rooftops of the Old Town and, on clear days, the coastline toward Cap Ferrat. The panorama is reachable on foot or by car and draws fewer crowds than Castle Hill.
