Miradouro da Cordoama

Miradouro da Cordoama sits on the cliffs above Praia do Cordoama, inside the Costa Vicentina Natural Park near Vila do Bispo. From the parking area at the top, a long flight of wooden steps drops roughly 150 steps to a wide sweep of sand backed by dark schist cliffs, while the viewpoint itself frames the beach, the Atlantic swell favoured by surfers, and, on clear days, the neighbouring Praia do Barranco. It is an exposed, wind-scoured spot with no facilities beyond a car park, typical of this stretch of Portugal's wild west coast.
